Description:

Cherry's G81-8000 and G81-7000 range is a family of data input keyboards that combine the functions of keyboard and magnetic card reader. There are also options for smart card readers and intelligent barcode decoder for connecting wand readers, CCD scanners, laser scanners etc.

Keyboards are Windows-compatible (105 keys) and available as standard or compact models. Optionally available with 120 keys, a number of which can be individually labelled and programmed.

Magnetic swipe card reader

• Capable of reading any ISO 7812 compliant magnetic stripe card.
• Up to 3 tracks can be read simultaneously.
• Scanned data is transferred to system through keyboard interface.
• Magnetic swipe card reader parameters can be programmed from keyboard or using downloadable software (header and terminator, data transfer rates etc.)

Barcode reader

The keyboards with barcode option are equipped with an integrated barcode decoder.

• automatically recognises and decodes the following barcodes: Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, Code 16k, Plessey Industrial 2/5, Matrix 2/5, Codabar, Interleaved 2/5, Code 11, UPC/EAN/JAN.
• Scanned data is transferred to system through keyboard interface.
• Barcode reader parameters are programmable

Smart card reader

The integrated smart card reader is capable of reading and writing smart cards of DIN ISO-IEC 7816.

• Push-pull mechanism in the contact unit
• Transmission to the PC via RS232
• EMV compliant version available
