AT to Serial converter

Description of Operation:

The AT-2-Serial enables any PC keyboard to become an RS232 keyboard.

The device connects directly to a serial port using a 9 way ‘D’ connector. Power to the device is provided by a ‘power stealer’ cable which connects to either a PS/2 keyboard or mouse socket.

Optionally power may be supplied via Pin 9 of the serial connector

2 models are available:

• ACB1057091: PC to RS232 scan code converter
• ACB1057771: PC to RS232 ASCII code converter with programmable function keys and cursor keys.

PROGRAMMABLE KEYS (ACB1057771 only)
A Windows utility is provided enabling the user to specify what code(s) are generated for each function and cursor keys. Once programmed the configuration is stored in non volatile memory.
