IMAGETEAM™ 4X10/80 OEM Miniature Image Engine

The Hand Held Products IMAGETEAMTM 4010/80, 4110/80, and 4310/80 SR/SF Image Engines (IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series) are designed for integration into handheld portable data terminals (PDTs), along with other OEM devices. The IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series engines combine the latest in CMOS image sensor technology, illumination, and optics to create compact, lightweight, integrable scan engines capable of reading 1D linear codes, 2D stacked/matrix codes, OCR fonts, and postal codes. In addition, the IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series engines capture digital images.

The IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series engines build on Hand Held Products’ legacy of reading the most comprehensive list of symbologies by adding valued features enabled by digital imaging. The IT4X10/80 Series engines deliver full omnidirectional (360o) scanning with three optical configurations, three aiming options, and a drop-in mechanical design. This allows OEMs and third-party manufacturers to integrate the benefits of image-based scanning into a variety of devices, including hand held computers, medical instrumentation, diagnostic equipment, lottery terminals, vending machines, and robotics.

Designed for ease-of-integration and superior durability, the IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series engines are ideal as drop-in modules to most AIDC applications. The size and current draw of the devices allow the engines to be integrated with no mechanical modifications. Incorporating sensor technology with no moving parts, the IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series engines are built to withstand 2,500G of shock. With an LEDbased aiming and illumination system, the IT4X10/80 SR/SF Series engines eliminate the need for inconvenient "laser warning" documents and labels. The decoder module supports a pseudo-standard RS-232 interface that, in most cases, does not require any hardware modifications to existing platforms. To ease integration efforts, a Software Developers Kit provides a simple software interface (APIs).
