The KMV8M allows a single keyboard, mouse and monitor to control up to 8 host systems which may be a mix of PC's, SUN Workstations or Apple Mac Hosts. The KMV8M simplifies installation and administration of LAN/WAN Servers, Communications Servers, Fax Servers, Bridges or Gateways. By cascading further KMV8M units, up to 64 systems can be controlled from one keyboard, mouse and monitor. The optional KMV8M-Remote unit allows an additional control point to be up to 200 metres away from the KMV8M, using readily available low cost cable. User definable Password protected access prevents unauthorised use.

On Screen Display:

Selection of each computer is controlled in 4 ways:

• User-programmable "Hot-Key" sequences on the keyboard
• Front panel push buttons on the KMV8M itself
• Mouse
• On-screen selection

The on-screen-display feature allows users to set up system names and to display KMV8M help messages and identify system name when changing channels. Once connected, all the systems will boot without user intervention. The KMV8M is a hardware product and does not require any software to be installed.
