The Termite Compact Data Terminal is designed with efficiency in mind. It is equipped with a PS/2 keyboard and RS232 interface to allow a wide range of standard input peripherals to be networked. The integrated smart card reader is intended to be used for operator identification or job batch recording. The network interface has twin industry standard RJ45 connectors allowing Termites to be connected together with patch leads.

The solution to developer productivity

There is no need for RS485 adaptors in your host PC -the first Termite also acts as a network controller communicating with the host RS232 port . You use the active X or SNP (Simple Network Protocol) to take control. With sample code libraries in Visual Basic and C++ you will be up and running in minutes....
